Founded in 1892, Athlone Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland course, (par 71 for men, par 75 for ladies). Situated on the shores of Lough Ree, it has sand-based greens and tees, with feature holes on the 6th, 12th and 16th. The course is built on an underlying esker, which makes it very wet weather tolerant, ideal for year-round golfing. Clubs, trolleys and buggies are available for hire and lessons can be booked with our on-course Pro-Golfer. Full bar and catering facilities are also available at the clubhouse.
