Description

Ashbourne Golf Club was established in 1991 when a group of individuals – mainly resident in Ashbourne – decided to resurrect the project of developing a local golf club. A series of meetings took place in various locations, which attracted an overwhelmingly positive response from those who attended. Work began immediately and Ashbourne Golf Club was opened for play in June 1994. The official opening (performed by Des Smyth) took place shortly afterwards. The stated priority of the founding committee and their successors has been the quality of the course. Consequently in a relatively short time we have a golf course that is the envy of many and one that everyone at Ashbourne are proud of. Ashbourne Golf Club is a challenging and interesting championship course just 15 minutes from Dublin Airport and 30 minutes from Dublin City. Designed in association with Ryder Cup star Des Smyth and with the Broadmeadow River running through the course, it will test all of your golf skills from tee to green.
