Founded in 1894, Ballinasloe is one of Connacht’s oldest golf clubs. It is a mature and testing parkland course, with excellent greens and is playable all year round. Originally opened as a nine-hole course, it was expanded to a 6,416-yard 18-hole course in the early 1980s and has since gone under many improvements including newly built greens and the incorporation of mature trees. Several holes have also been remodeled over the years to make the course more challenging overall such ad the interesting water features added to the 11th and 12th holes.
